Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time (DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November).

Microsoft® has announced that it will NOT be providing an update to address the changes mandated by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 for Windows® 2000 and Windows® 2000 Server operating systems.

Microsoft has provided instructions on how to manually change the Time Zone for the Windows 2000 platform via modifications to the registry (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=914387).

The Dialogic Technical Services Center is providing the following update in an effort to bring all Dialogic products running on Windows 2000 Pro and Windows 2000 Server into compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This patch was created by IntelliAdmin and has been tested and validated by Dialogic.

Because of the minimal impact of the DST Update, Dialogic Technical Services Center is providing the patch to our customers’ to install without Dialogic assistance.

If you would like the Dialogic Technical Services Center to install this patch on your Dialogic provided system, please email support@dccusa.com, and we will be glad to assist.
